Viola May (Smalley) Peace

Viola May Peace, age 60, of Columbus, Nebraska, formerly of Osceola, passed away June 2, 2023.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Andrea’s Diner in Osceola on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 3:00 p.m.

Viola was born October 24, 1962 in Grand Island to Gerald Keith Sr. and Margie Kay (Juett) Smalley. She attended school in Grand Island and graduated from Grand Island Senior High. She lived in various places including Osceola before moving to Columbus. She enjoyed cooking and made it her career. She was currently working at Cubby’s in Shelby as a cook.

Her pride and joy was her family and she loved spending time with them. She also enjoyed fishing, singing, dancing, cooking, and going on walks with her dog.

Survivors include her children: Crystal (Aaron) Jones of Osceola, Jennifer Smith of Grand Island, Bobby Smalley of Lincoln, Austin Peace of Columbus and Amber Ramer of Lincoln; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Margie Smalley.

Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated later.
