Scott David Roberts Obituary

Scott David Roberts, age 65, passed away September 6, 2025 at his home in Polk, Nebraska.

Graveside services will be held Friday, September 12, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Swede Plain Cemetery in Polk with Pastor Evan Christensen officiating.

Scott was born August 14, 1960 in Omaha, Nebraska to Lester ‘Les’ and Mary Ann (Widga) Roberts. He attended school in Omaha, graduating from Millard High School in 1978. At a young age Scott began spending the summers with his uncles Gerome and Gerald Widga in Polk where he would work on their farm. After graduation he moved in with his uncles and farmed with them until their passing when Scott took over the farming operation. Scott was president of the Swede Plain Cemetery.

He was a big Husker fan and followed football and basketball games, but never wore red to the games.

Survivors include cousins Pat and Eldon Oestmann of Lincoln, Deanne and Ray Cochron of Lincoln, Jane and LeRay Meyer of Johnson, Jan Lyon of Lincoln and friend and employee Peg Bullers; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Les and Mary Ann Roberts; uncles Gerome and Gerald Widga; two dogs Hank and Willie.

Memorials are suggested to the Swede Plain Cemetery or Polk Volunteer Fire Department.
