Robert Wayne Bryan, age 88, of Osceola, Nebraska, passed away December 16, 2018 at Annie Jeffrey Memorial County Health Center in Osceola.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Osceola with Pastor Dan Cloeter officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 18 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Dubas Funeral Home in Osceola. Organist will be Louise Wheeler. Soloist will be Pastor Bob Johnson. Musical selections will be "Love of God", "Face To Face", and "This Is My Father's World." Pallbearers will be David Bryan, Robert Rieken, Larry Neujahr, Kenny Carlson, Rance Ostmeyer, and Bill Nordstrom. Interment will be in the Osceola Cemetery.
Robert was born December 25, 1929 to Guilford Deweese and LaVerne L. (Hutton) Bryan in Grand Island. He attended District 7 elementary and graduated from Silver Creek High School in 1945.
Robert served two years in the Naval Reserves. He then began farming and for many years was a land contractor in the Silver Creek and Osceola areas. He retired in 2013.
On June 7, 1980 he was united in marriage to Nancy Kaufman in Columbus.
Robert enjoyed reading and was a member of the National Land Improvement Contractors of America (NLICA) and Farm Bureau.
Survivors include his wife Nancy of Osceola; children Susie Bryan of Tulsa, OK, Alan Bryan of Tulsa, OK, Michael (Laura) Bryan of Edina, MN, David (Kathy) Schuman of Houston, TX, Jeffrey (Janice) Schuman of Rocky Hill, CT; nine grandchildren; three brothers Gerald (Judy) Bryan of Osceola, Bill (Lora) Bryan of Osceola, Curtis (Sandra) Bryan of Enumclaw, WA and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Guilford and LaVerne Bryan.
Memorials are suggested to Urology Cancer Center and GU Research Network at 17607 Gold Plaza, Omaha, NE 68130.
