Paul David Carlson, age 77, of Osceola, Nebraska, went home to Jesus on May 15, 2023 at Annie Jeffrey Memorial County Health Center in Osceola.

Graveside service will be held Thursday, May 25, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Swede Home Cemetery with Pastor Raleigh White officiating. A luncheon will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Osceola.

Paul was born on November 2, 1945 in Norfolk and was the son of Clarence and Minnie Carlson. Paul graduated from Osceola High School in 1963 and went to Southeast College where he received a degree in welding. After college he moved home and lived on the family farm north of Osceola to work the farm. He raised cattle, sheep and pigs and had help from his two nephews Bob and Ronnie. He loved farming, being outdoors, talking and buying guns, going to coffee in the morning and afternoon, making his weekly trips on Wednesday to go see Tweet at the store, taking care of his parents, spending time with his nephews and their families, and making sure Maggie the dog got her cheese and crackers every time he visited.

Paul is survived by his sister Miriam Johnson of Kimball, nephews and nieces, Bob (Melissa) Carey, Ronnie (Tina) Carlson, Pauline Pile, Cheryl (Troy) Nelson, and Connie (Scott) Nickolite, as well as many great-nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Minnie Carlson, brother Ron Carlson, and sister Nancy Carlson.
