Myron James Prososki, age 71 of Osceola, Nebraska, passed away January 22, 2024 at the York General Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 26, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent’s Catholic Church in Osceola with Father Thomas Au officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. with a 6:00 p.m. Rosary at the church. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Pilzno Cemetery.
Myron was born October 2, 1952 to Albin John and Kathryn Victoria (Tomasiewicz) Prososki in Osceola. He attended Jeffrey Elementary and graduated from Osceola High School in 1970. He then attended Grand Island School of Business in 1971. He worked at Eikenhorst Drilling during his high school years. Myron served in the Army National Guard for six years starting in 1971.
On August 12, 1972 he was united in marriage to Marla Jean Wombacher at Shelby Sacred Heart Catholic Church. To this union four children were born. They made their home in Shelby and Myron worked at Behlen Manufacturing from 1972 to 1974. They then moved to the farm northeast of Osceola where Myron farmed until he semi-retired and moved into Osceola in 2012. He continued being active in the farm operation.
Myron prayed Rosary daily and watched daily Mass. He was a member of Eucharistic Adoration at St. Bonaventure for 20 years.
He loved his kids and grandkids and enjoyed watching their activities and sporting events. He also enjoyed Sunday night basketball games at the farm and throwing batting practice to the kids and grandkids before their games.
Survivors include his wife Marla of Osceola; son Mark (Nadine) Prososki and children Ayden and Zach of Columbus, son Michael (Cheri) Prososki and children Hudson, Emersyn, Kalisyn and Mackson, of Osceola, son Matthew (Kandace Konecky) Prososki and children Mila, Noa, Tyce and Teegan of Omaha and son Kyle (Katie) Prososki of Tucson, AZ; sister Marilyn (Bill) McGahan of North Platte; brothers Kenneth Prososki of McClelland, IA and Eugene (Ann) Prososki of Spring Hill, FL; next door neighbor grandkids, Kenna and Elsie Triplett, and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Albin and Kathryn; brother Jerome (Dee) Prososki and sister-in-law Nancy Prososki.
Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated later.
