Michael Wayne Rystrom, age 71, of Stromsburg, Nebraska, passed away October 22, 2025 at the Midwest Covenant Home in Stromsburg.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Midwest Covenant Home Chapel in Stromsburg with Father Allan Phan officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service at the Home. Musical selections will be “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing”, “Let It Be” and “I’m Henry The VIII, I Am”. Pallbearers will be Tyler Zabel, Chris Zabel, Ellis Waller and Willis Waller. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, N 84th St, Lincoln.

Mike was born September 14, 1954 to Durward Wayne and Eileen Marie (Quinlan) Rystrom in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He attended school in Stromsburg.

Mike lived in Stromsburg, York and Lincoln before moving to the Midwest Covenant in 2019 where he resided until his passing.

He enjoyed typing, watching TV and listening to music.

Survivors include his siblings Rick (Connie) Rystrom of Cedar Rapids, IA, Kathy (Dan) Zabel of Lincoln; nephews Tyler and Chris Zabel and niece Katie (Drew) Zobel, all of Lincoln; special friend Carol of Waverly, and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, cousin, and aunts and uncles.
