Maxine M (Harbour) Sundberg

Maxine M. Sundberg, age 84, of Clarks, Nebraska, passed away June 14, 2026 at the Midwest Covenant Home in Stromsburg.

Memorial service will be held at a later date.

Maxine was born December 15, 1941 in Polk, Nebraska to Walter W. and Hazel B. (Middaugh) Harbour. She attended school in Stromsburg graduating from Stromsburg High School.

On September 6, 1959 she was united in marriage to Phillip A. Sundberg at the Methodist Church in Stromsburg. To this union two sons were born.

The family lived three miles west of Stromsburg where thy farmed and in 1964 they moved to rural Clarks where they lived and farmed. Maxine was a farmwife, helping her husband and raising their sons.

Maxine enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include sons Jeffrey (Denise) Sundberg and Jerry (Kerri) Sundberg, both of Clarks; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; and a host of other relative and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Phillip who passed away June 3, 2010; her parents Walter and Hazel Harbour and sister Doris Doak.

Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated later.
