Mark Wallace Peterson, age 61, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away June 30, 2025 at Hillcrest Firethorn in Lincoln.

Mark was born July 8, 1963 in Osceola, Nebraska to Wallace Eugene and Alice Marie (Oberg) Peterson. He attended school in Lincoln at Lincoln High where Mark spent most of his life. Mark brought joy and friendship to countless lives. Mark was an avid participant in the Special Olympics, proudly displaying his bowling and swimming ribbons and trophies. A lifelong fan of Nebraska Football, he was always hopeful for another Cornhusker "blowout" victory, and knew more stats of players than anyone. He also loved wrestling on TV and playing video games. He would have been happy to be on a Disney cruise 24/7.

Mark enjoyed his many friends and coworkers, and was fortunate to receive exceptional care and companionship provided by his devoted caregivers, who became an integral part of his life and wellbeing.
Anyone who met Mark became his friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
