Marilyn Jean Schneberger
Marilyn Jean Schneberger, age 87, of Shelby, Nebraska, passed way July 7, 2018 at David Place in David City, Nebraska.
Memorial services will be held at a later date at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Gresham. Inurnment will be held in the Shelby Cemetery.
Marilyn was born December 22, 1930 to Harry James and Dorothy Lee (White) Preece in Sioux City, Iowa. She was baptized February 2, 1949 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sioux City, Iowa. She attended school and graduated high school in Sioux City, Iowa. She lived in Washington D.C. and California while working for an insurance company. In 1945 she quit working to become a homemaker.
On June 29, 1949 she was united in marriage to Donald Raymond Schneberger in Garland, Nebraska. They lived in several places over the years including Washington D.C., Graze Lake, IL, Oakland, CA, Garland, NE, rural Columbus, rural Shelby before moving into Shelby in 1985. While living in Garland, Marilyn worked for Farmers Mutual Insurance in Lincoln.
She was a member of the Stromsburg Lion's Club, and St. Peter Lutheran Church in Gresham.
Survivors include her husband Don of Shelby.
She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Dorothy Preece, one brother and two sisters.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
