Marian Lucille (Boden) Daum

Marian Lucille Daum, age 87, of Osceola, Nebraska, passed away December 10, 2021 at Good Samaritan Society in Osceola.
Memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Osceola with Pastor Raleigh White officiating. There will be no visitation. Organist will be Louise Wheeler. Musical selections will be "Scars in Heaven", "How Great Thou Art", and "Amazing Grace." Honorary pallbearers will be Travis Boden, Thad Boden, Tyler Boden, Jon Eaton, Roger Eaton, and Cale Brumbaugh. Inurnment will be in the Osceola Cemetery.
Marian was born November 12, 1934 to Carl Gustave and Esther Cecelia (Nelson) Boden at the Osceola Hospital, which is now Dubas Funeral Home. Marian attended county school District 53 (Miller School) NW and graduated from Osceola High School in 1952. She worked at different businesses in Osceola. In 1953 she worked at the Polk County Treasurer's office until 1958.
On May 17th, 1958 she was united in marriage to Wallace L. Daum at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Osceola. To this union they had two children, Greg and Debra (Deb).
The family moved a few times due to Wally's work, so they made many friends in Chadron and Rapid City, SD.
Marian was involved in many organizations, Beta Sigma Phi, Cub Scouts, church groups and many more. She loved her family and friends, always sending cards for every occasion. Marian enjoyed gardening, hunting, playing word games, but most of all she enjoyed her many friends and family.
Survivors include her two children Greg (Lisa) Daum of Sioux Falls, SD and Deb Adamy of Bellwood; nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Carol Stelzer of Phoenix, AZ; nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace; parents Carl and Esther Boden; brothers Lloyd, Howard and Calmer Boden; sister Doris Seaburg and son-in-law Carroll Adamy.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Osceola and the Osceola Fire Department.
Dubas Funeral Home of Osceola and Stromsburg has been entrusted with arrangements.
