Maria Isabel Diaz Ochoa, age 49, of Shelby, Nebraska, passed away June 15, 2023 at her home in Shelby.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Mexico.
Maria was born July 4, 1973 in Michoācān, Mexico to Antonio and Sara (Diaz) Ochoa. She was one of twelve children. She attended school in Mexico.
In 1991 she moved to Washington, then California, Nebraska, and back to California. She has resided in Shelby, Nebraska for the last five years.
She was a stay at home mom who enjoyed puzzles, fishing and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children Jaime Chavez Diaz and fiance Guillermo Tovar, Leonel Sanchez II, and Sarai Sanchez Diaz, all of Shelby; and two grandchildren: Violeta Tovar Chavez and Vanya Tovar Chavez.
