Margaret Ruth Taylor, age 98, passed away July 13, 2020 at the Midwest Covenant Home in Stromsburg, NE. There will be a memorial service for Margaret in Denver, CO at a later date.
Margaret was born May 17, 1922 to Otto and Jennie (Albertson) Dunbar. She grew up in the Denver area and graduated from Denver North High School in 1940. Shortly after graduation Margaret moved to south Denver to attend Bonnie's School of Beauty Culture.
Margaret married Clayton Taylor on Valentine's Day in 1942. While Clayton was serving in WWII, Margaret took care of their son Lynn and would take him to work with her at the Beauty Shop where she worked. Clayton and Margaret later had two daughters, Janet Lee and Margaret June.
Margaret was very active in Women's Clubs and many different organizations over the years. She also enjoyed sewing, reading, entertaining family and friends and traveling. During her lifetime, Margaret traveled to thirty different countries and forty-nine states. She never could figure out how she forgot to visit West Virginia. She always had a story about her travels that she was ready to share.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, June Delcourt, seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton; son Lynn Taylor and daughter Janet Berck.
