Mardyne Gaedeke Obituary

Mardyne LaMae Gaedeke, age 84 of Silver Creek, Nebraska, passed away February 23, 2020 at her home in Silver Creek.
It was Mardyne's wishes to be cremated with no services.
Mardyne was born November 6, 1935 at Alliance, Nebraska to Virgil Leo and Lorene I. (Gausmen) Moeller. She attended school in Alliance, graduating from Alliance High School in 1953.
She was united in marriage to Donald D. Jones in May of 1953 in Manhattan, Kansas. To this union six children were born. She later was united in marriage to William 'Bill' A. Gaedeke in Las Vegas, NV in December of 1971. Mardyne graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1972 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
She worked for a short time as a social worker in Columbus and then began her career with BD's where she was employed until her retirement.
She raised and loved horses and had several puppies. She also enjoyed reading.
She was a member of the Columbus Riding Club and numerous book clubs.
Survivors include her children: Vicki (Mike) Hawthorne of Central City, Kandi Stankiewiecz of Omaha, Jeff Jones of Mesa, AZ, Scott (Kristi) Jones of Dallas, TX, Craig (Judy) Jones of San Diego, CA; seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; one brother Mervyn (Sharon) Moeller of Ceresco; seven step-children, many step-grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Gaedeke; son Tim Jones; son-in-law Tom Stankiewicz; grandson Alex Jones; and granddaughter Kelly Stankiewicz.
Dubas Funeral Home of Osceola and Stromsburg has been entrusted with arrangements.
