Linda Sue Zade, age 72, of Osceola, Nebraska, passed away December 11, 2025 at the Good Samaritan Society in Osceola.

A private family inurnment will take place at a later date.

Linda was born December 30, 1952 in Valentine, Nebraska to Robert Claude Lee and Bonnie Louise (Pope) Mooney. She attended school in Stromsburg, graduating from Stromsburg High School in 1971. Linda went to Kansas City for computer training and returned to Nebraska where she attended nursing school at Platte College in Columbus. She moved to Aurora where she worked as an LPN at the Hamilton Manor and the Aurora Hospital. She met Wallace Zade and they were married at the United Methodist Church in Stromsburg. He brought one daughter, Lisa to the union. Linda later began working in telemarketing for Cabela’s in Grand Island. After the passing of her husband Wallace, Linda moved to Swede Haven in Stromsburg where she resided until moving to Good Samaritan Society in Osceola on February 8, 2021.

While living in Stromsburg she had attended the Evangelical Covenant Church and enjoyed doing geneology, camping, fishing and hunting.

Survivors include step-daughter Lisa and granddaughter Amber of Omaha; grandson Jackson; two brothers Gordon Mooney and David Mooney both of Stromsburg; sisters Jeannette (David) Elwell of Tekamah, Kathleen (David) Hunt of Tupelo, Mississippi and Patricia Kowalski of Polk; many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Wallace Zade; brother-in-law Lewis Kowalski; and sister-in-law Diane Mooney.
