Kevin Michael Patience, age 55, of Osceola, Nebraska, passed away February 27, 2026 at his home in Osceola.

Graveside services will be held Friday, March 13, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Osceola Cemetery with Pastor Raleigh White officiating. Military Rites by Osceola American Legion.

Kevin was born June 20, 1970 in Hamburg, Iowa. He graduated from Shelby High School in 1988. Following graduation he enlisted in the US Navy and served in the Gulf War during Operation Desert Storm. After returning from the service he lived in California for a short time before moving to Columbus, Nebraska where he was a carpet layer, and then Norfolk, Nebraska, working at Walmart as a stock and inventory associate. He then moved to Laurens, Iowa. In 2022 he moved to Osceola where he resided until his passing.

Kevin was an avid reader and enjoyed drawing and painting mythical creatures and landscapes.

Survivors include his sisters Jeanne (Duncan) McMillan of Abilene, TX and Hyde Patience of Osceola, niece Keira McMillan and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Chris and Gladys Gaedeke and his parents Michael and Lynda Patience.

Dubas Funeral Home of Osceola and Stromsburg has been entrusted with arrangements.
