Kellie Marie (Kuhnke) Allen

Kellie Marie Kuhnke Allen, 41, of Columbus Nebraska passed away on Monday, May 9th.

On January 24th, 1981 Kellie was born in North Platte Nebraska.  Kellie was the first daughter born to Bill and Kerri (Morgan) Kuhnke and was joined at home by her two big brothers Zachary and Brandon and later, her younger sister, Jamie. 

Kellie graduated from Waverly High School in 1999 and went on to work in several retail positions in the Lincoln and later Columbus areas.  During her time in Lincoln, Kellie also helped to care for her Grandma Lorna, with whom she had a special bond with and will be greatly missed by. 

In 2009, Kellie married Joe Allen. They were blessed with Abbigail in 2010 and Tyson in 2015, before divorcing. 

Kellie loved her children and was so grateful to become a mother. Kellie and Joe enjoyed spending time fishing, camping and enjoying the outdoors with the kids. Kellie also had special relationships with her siblings and her sister-in-law Kristine, who she was always happy to go visit. 

Kellie is survived by her former husband Joe, daughter Abbie, and son Tyson, of Columbus; siblings: Zachary (Kristine) Kuhnke of Eagle, Brandon (Polly) Kuhnke of Eagle, Jamie (Jim) Pinkelman of Ponca.  She is also survived by stepfather Randy Olsen of New Castle, grandmother Lorna Morgan of West Liberty, IA, step-grandmother Karen Morgan of Wake Forest, NC, and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill Kuhnke and Kerri Olsen, and grandparents Mark Morgan and Dale and Delores Kuhnke.

A private family celebration of life will be held to honor Kellie.
