Gary Pierson, age 79, passed away February 1, 2024 in Townsend, MT. He was born November 3, 1944 in Stromsburg, NE, one of a set of triplets. He lived in Stromsburg most of his life . He was a fireman for many years, a scout leader, an avid hunter and fisherman. He worked for Scott Johnson for many years until his retirement, then moved to Townsend, MT. to live with his sister Gail Spatz and husband Jim. He also worked for Sperling Tree Service and part time for Dale Donelson.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Elizabeth Pierson, a brother Gordon Pierson and a sister Sharon Koenig, a niece Kathy Koenig, and a nephew Shane Stubbendeck.

He is survived by his sister Gail (Jim) Spatz, nephews and nieces,  Danny (Rachael) Stubbendeck, Kevin (Trish) Spatz, Elizabeth (Chuck) Soll, Cindy (Kenny) Walsh, Joe Koenig, Robert Koenig, Richard (Claudia) Koenig, Ruth Utterback and numerous great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Friday, February 9, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Dubas Funeral Home in Stromsburg with Pastor Duncan Iburri officiating. Interment will be in the Stromsburg Cemetery.
