Eugene John (Pee Wee) Reisdorff, age 86, formally of Shelby Nebraska passed away July 24, 2024 at Norfolk Veterans Home.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 31 at Sacred Heart Church in Shelby with Father Andrew Litt officiating. Visitation will start at 9 AM followed by a Rosary at 9:30 AM then a Funeral Mass at 10 AM. Lector will be Charles Wozny. Organist will be Avis Rathje. Musical selections will be “On Eagle’s Wings”, “Amazing Grace”, “I Am The Bread Of Life”, “Song of Farewell”, and “How Great Thou Art.” Inurnment will be in the Shelby Cemetery with Military Rites by Shelby Legion Post. There will be a luncheon at the Shelby Legion club following the cemetery service.

Eugene was born January 27, 1938 to Herschel and Agnes (Richter) Reisdorff in Shelby. He attended District 14 and 21 schools and graduated from Shelby High School in May 1956 he participated in football, track and basketball.

He joined the US Army serving from October 23, 1957 to July 22, 1959 then serving in the reserves for four years after that.

He was united in marriage to Lorraine Wozny on November 24, 1960. They have one son Michael and a daughter Denise.

He worked at Metropolitan utilities district in Omaha, Shelby Fertilizer Feed and Seed ,was later part owner of the Columbus Feed Mill and then worked the rest of his career at Farmers Co-Op in Shelby, retiring in 2003.

After his retirement, he worked for 10 years for Ryan Hill Country Club as a groundskeeper.

He coached boys baseball and girls softball teams. Enjoy following the children's activities, playing golf, gardening, traveling, Nebraska Football  and volleyball, watching a golf tournament, spending winters in Arizona.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Shelby, American Legion Post 296, Knights of Columbus and served on the Shelby School Board.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Kate Reisdorff of Gretna, daughter Denise of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; grandchildren Morgan Prochaska, Jesse, Halie, Sarah, Benjamin, Emma McPherson, Rhyan Hughes and 6 great grandchildren; brother Jerome Reisdorff, sister-in-law, Pat Reisdorff, sister in law, Betty Lambert, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Helen and Lynn Gunderson, brother-in-law, and sister-in-law Charles and Sue Wozny, and many nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, brother Donald Reisdorff, sister-in-law, Barbara Reisdorff, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Pat and Jerome Gabriel.

Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated later.
