Doris 'Sally' E. (Brigham) Johansen

Doris E. 'Sally' Johansen, age 93, of Osceola, Nebraska, passed away October 29, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Society in Osceola.
Memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Shelby with Pastor Teri Lucas officiating. Organist will be Kim Voss. Musical selections will be "In The Garden" and "Amazing Grace." Inurnment will be in the Osceola Cemetery.

Sally was born December 30, 1927 to Rex and Blanche (Ingalls) Brigham in Shelby, Nebraska. She attended country school northwest of Shelby and graduated from Shelby High School in 1945. Over the years she was employed at various places including the Extension office, Eikenhorst Implement "Simplot Ag" and the Assessors office.
On May 7, 1948 she was united in marriage to Virgil V. Johansen. To this union three daughters were born.  Sally enjoyed being a farm wife and homemaker. They enjoyed traveling, fishing, camping, gardening and going dancing.
She was a lifelong member of the Shelby United Methodist Church, UMW, Extension Club and was involved with 4-H.
Survivors include her husband Virgil of Osceola; children: Nancy Stas of Billings, MT, Jill (Bill) Engert of Rogers, AR, and Deborah (Hugh) Fugleberg of Elkhorn; six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; sister Peggy (Ron) Coffin of Shelby, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rex and Blanche Brigham; sister Dorothy (Darwin) DeTurk; brother Tom Brigham, son-in-law Nick Stas.
Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated later.
