Dianne Kay Mooney, age 71, passed away August 16, 2024 at the Good Samaritan Society in Osceola, Nebraska.

Dianne's family will be having a Celebration of life Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 1:00pm in Stromsburg, Nebraska at the Buckley Park Campground.

Dianne was born October 21, 1952 in Beatrice, Nebraska to Ray Gordon and Ruth Anderson. She was adopted as an infant by Harry and Beatrice (Wachter) Cosner. She attended school in Broken Bow, graduating in 1971. She then attended Bible College in South Dakota.

Dianne was united in marriage to Charles E. Moore. To this union one son, Charles, was born. Dianne worked at various places as a road construction flagger.

On December 18, 1987 she was united in marriage to Gordon Ray Mooney in Central City, who she met on the road crew. To this union three children were born, Thomas, Bertha and Cindy. The family lived in Stromsburg where Dianne was a homemaker and worked at various jobs over the years.

In September 2023 she was diagnosed with cancer.

She enjoyed going to watch family members participate in rodeo. When growing up in Broken Bow she rode for the Pony Express. She loved animals and liked to travel.

She attended the United Methodist Church in Stromsburg.

Survivors include her husband Gordon of Stromsburg; two sons Charles of Hebron and Thomas of Osceola; two daughters Bertha of Hastings and Cindy of Stromsburg; seven grandchildren; one brother Robert McBride of Wichita, KS; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Ruth Gordon; infant son; two brothers Paul McBride and Ralph McBride and one sister Patty Niedens.
