She moved to Omaha where she worked for a family as a nanny while attending Commercial Extension School of Business. Following business school she went to Alaska for an extended visit at the homes of two of her sisters.
On December 8, 1950 she was united in marriage to Morris Ray Boden at Stromsburg. To this union two children were born, Jan and Ed. They lived three miles west of Stromsburg for four years, then moved to a farm three miles north of Stromsburg, where Morris was engaged in crop farming and cattle feeding. Coral began a 40+ year career working in the Polk County Courthouse, first as Clerk in the County Treasurer’s office, then Deputy County Treasurer and then was elected as County Treasurer where she served until her retirement.
Coral was a member of the Evangelical Free Church all her life where she served in many capacities. She really enjoyed the fellowship with her church family, and the praising of the Lord.
She enjoyed puzzles, sewing, and Husker sports. The Senior Center in Stromsburg was very important to her and she loved spending time there and having coffee with her friends. In 1963 she was selected as Nebraska Flying Farmer Chapter’s Queen. She loved singing with the “Vintage Voices” and also “Sing-A-Long” at the Midwest Covenant Home.
