Clark Leon Yungdahl, age 86, of Stromsburg, Nebraska, passed away December 20th 2024 at Sunrise Country Manor, Milford NE.

Clark was born September 22, 1938 in Stromsburg, Nebraska to Olaf “Fredrick” and Hazel “Arloa” (Daey) Yungdahl. He attended country school near Swede Home, NE and graduated from Stromsburg High School with the class of 1956. On September 19, 1959 he was united in marriage to Phyllis (Stratton) in Osceola, NE. Together they raised four children. Clark owned and operated his own business “Yungdahl Excavating and Plumbing” for many years. He loved operating equipment, especially his backhoe. He had a strong sense of pride in the work he did, whether digging basements, working on a plumbing project, or digging a grave. He was always willing to help wherever he could.

Clark enjoyed spending time with his family and engaging in lengthy conversations with his wide circle of friends.

Survivors include his daughter Andrea Dunham of York; three sons: Yancy (Jodi) Yungdahl of Tenino, WA, Heath Yungdahl and Wade (Cigi) Yungdahl of Chandler, AZ; grandchildren: Cody (Anna) Dunham of Lincoln, NE, Sydnee (Mike) Scheinost of Ceresco,NE Trevor (Hannah) Yungdahl of Tenino, WA, Maci (Cameron) Todd of Tumwater, WA, Austin (Brooklyn) Yungdahl of San Tan Valley, AZ, Cheyenne, Braden, Cooper and Turner Yungdahl all of Chandler, AZ; great grandchildren: Maren Dunham, Tyler Scheinost, Layne Scheinost, Madilyn Yungdahl, Abigail Yungdahl, Audrey Yungdahl, Jackson Todd, Hunter Yungdahl, Hensley Yungdahl; sister Dora Starr of Tucson, AZ; sisters-in-law Donna Yungdahl of Stromsburg, Barbara Schroeder of Chandler, AZ, Elaine Abbott of Branson, MO, Sandra (Willie) Ewert of Chandler, AZ and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis who passed away November 18, 2019; parents Fredrick and Arloa Yungdahl; mother and father-in-law Ivan and Ruth Stratton; brother Elwyn Yungdahl; brothers-in-law Gordon Starr, Gregg Abbott and Lee Schroeder.

There will be a graveside service at a later date.

Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.
