Clara Marie Lisko, age 98, of Osceola, Nebraska, passed away June 11, 2020 at Good Samaritan Society in Osceola.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent's Catholic Church in Osceola with Father Thomas Au officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service with a 9:30 a.m. Rosary at the church. Organist will be Catherine Steele. Musical selections will be "Amazing Grace", "Prayer of St. Francis", "Song of Farewell", and "On Eagle's Wings." Pallbearers will be Cory Lisko, Ashton Lisko, Jamie Lisko, Hunter Lisko, Mike Prososki and Austin Brown. Interment will be in the Osceola Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.
Clara was born November 26, 1921 to Otto and Marie (Gloor) Mueller near Duncan in Polk County. She graduated from Kramer High School in Columbus. After graduation she worked doing secretarial work at a bank in Columbus.
On November 5, 1946 she was united in marriage to Frank Anton Lisko at St. Mary's Pilzno Church. They lived in Boys Town for six years while Frank was employed there. In 1952 they moved to Frank's family farm north of Osceola. In 2002 they retired and moved to Osceola. In December of 2009 Clara moved to the Osceola Good Samaritan Society where she resided until her passing.
She was a member of St. Mary's Pilzno Church before joining St. Vincent's Ferrer Church in Osceola. She was a member of the Altar Society. She enjoyed gardening and planting flowers, especially her Impatiens, playing cards, dancing and traveling.
Survivors include one daughter Sandy Zipse of Lakewood, CO; three grandchildren, Jamie (Terry) Lisko of Lincoln, Lori (Aaron) Brown of Phillips, and Cory (Ann) Lisko of Columbus; six great grandchildren, Hunter of Lincoln, Ashlynn, Taylor and Austin of Phillips, and Ashton and Trevor of Columbus. She is also survived by step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank who passed away September 13, 2012; son Ken; parents; son-in-law Larry Zipse; grandson Brandon Zipse; three brothers, Otto (Dorothy) Mueller, Rudy and Marcel Mueller.
