Carl Marvin Hansen, 84, of Stromsburg, Nebraska, passed away November 16, 2021 at his home in Stromsburg.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Dubas Funeral Home in Stromsburg with Pastor Neil Kloppenborg officiating. Musical selections will be "How Great Thou Art", and "I Want To Stroll Over Heaven With You." Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons, Kirk Gregor, Kraig Gregor, Brett Gregor, Clint Gregor, and Christopher Phillippe. Inurnment will be in the Stromsburg Cemetery.
Carl was born January 14, 1937 in Blair, Nebraska to Carl S. and Anita (Suverkrubbe) Hansen. He attended school in Blair, graduating from Blair High School.
Carl worked as a truck driver for Little Audrey Trucking in Fremont and later worked for Ward Trucking in Denver, Colorado.
On March 21, 1966 Carl was united in marriage to Muriel Joyce Clash. They resided in Penrose, Colorado for over 20 years prior to moving to Stromsburg. Carl enjoyed his grandchildren and family, hunting, shooting, hiking, playing golf, panning for gold, and the meals his daughter would cook for him.
Survivors include one daughter Kathie Gregor of Fremont; one son Mike Phillippe of Hastings; five grandsons, Kirk Gregor, Kraig Gregor, Brett Gregor, Clint Gregor, Christopher Phillippe; six great grandchildren; one brother Merle (Lori) Hansen of Blair; two sisters Margaret Sidebottom of Blair and Norma Lippincott of Papillion; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Muriel who passed away May 15, 2001; one grandson Jared Gregor; daughter Julie Poe; two brothers-in-law Bud Sidebottom and Ed Lippincott; and his faithful dog companion Popeye.
Memorials are suggested to the family in lieu of flowers.
Dubas Funeral Home of Osceola and Stromsburg has been entrusted with arrangements.
