Carey Herbert Hackbarth

Carey Herbert Hackbarth, age 61 of Shelby, Nebraska, passed away November 10, 2019 at Annie Jeffrey Memorial County Health Center in Osceola, Nebraska.
Carey was born November 24, 1957 in Brainerd, Minnesota to Herbert and Glenda (Eide) Hackbarth. He graduated from high school in Minnesota.
He lived in various places across the United States including Connecticut, Minnesota, South Dakota and Nebraska, traveling as a roofer for over 40 years.
He loved to hunt and fish.
He was diagnosed with cancer in 2015 and moved to Shelby in 2017 where he resided until his passing.
Survivors include his companion of 19 years, Jeannette Graver of Shelby; mother Glenda Hackbarth of Denver, Colorado; three daughters, Cheri (Dale) Adams of Shelby, Nicole (Chris) Miller of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Heather Murray of Sartell, Minnesota; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren; brothers Rick of Denver, CO, John (Tammy) of Connifer, CO, Todd of Evergreen, CO, Shaun (Denise) of Littleton, CO; sister Kelli Mesa of Thorton, CO,  and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Herbert Hackbarth, brother Craig Hackbarth.
Dubas Funeral Home of Osceola and Stromsburg has been entrusted with arrangements.
