Bonnie Elaine LaVelle, age 85, of York, Nebraska, passed away September 12, 2021 at York General Hearthstone in York.
Bonnie was cremated and no services are scheduled at this time.
Bonnie was born June 7, 1936 to Charles Henry and Margaret L. (Richter) Doremus in York, Nebraska.
She grew up on a farm east of Polk and attended school in Stromsburg where she graduated. She worked at Armors Chicken factory in Central City. She was united in marriage to Ralph LaVelle and to this union one daughter was born. She lived in Polk where Bonnie was a homemaker until she moved  to York on January 16, 2020 where she resided until her passing.
She attended the Polk Baptist Church and then the Evangelical Free Church in Polk. She enjoyed going to the Senior Center and visiting with friends. Her dog Gingi was a special companion.
Survivors include her daughter Judy Thornburg of York; five granddaughters, one grandson and two great granddaughters; one brother Chuck and one sister Jean; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
