Barbara Kay Jennings, age 76, of Osceola, Nebraska, passed away January 8, 2025 at CHI St. Francis hospital in Grand Island.
Memorial services will be held Monday, January 13, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Dubas Funeral Home in Osceola with Pastor Edward Yang officiating. Musical selections will be “Softly and Tenderly”, “How Great Thou Art”, and “Humble and Kind.” Inurnment will be in the Osceola Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the Civic Center in Osceola.
Barb was born January 1, 1949 to Richard Ralph and Geraldine Ardis (Wassung) Klein in Beatrice, Nebraska. She attended grade school in Adams, moving to Osceola in 1961 where she attended school, graduating from Osceola High School in 1967.
In 1971 she was united in marriage to Lee Boden. To this union four boys were born. In 1986 she moved and lived in various places including York, Lincoln, Utica and Valparaiso. She met Ralph Jennings and they moved to Mobile, Alabama where their daughter, Amanda Jennings, was born. The family then moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In the early 2000’s Barb returned to Osceola where she worked at the Good Samaritan Society, in housekeeping and then as a cook. She then moved to Columbus for a short time before returning to Osceola.
She was a member of the Federated Church in Columbus.
Survivors include her sons: Travis (Tammy) Boden, Tyler Boden, and Thad Boden, all of Osceola; daughters Michelle (Dennis) McKinney of Tecumseh and Amanda Jennings of Columbus; 13 grandchildren; two brothers: Roger Klein of Webster City, Iowa and Marvin (Connie) Klein of Osceola; one sister Marilyn (Virgil) Lienamenn of Omaha; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one son, Todd L. Boden.
Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated later.
