Alice was born in Polk County on October 25, 1937 to Theodore Allen Janky and Ruth Alice Alveda Carlson Janky. She had one brother Robert Allen Janky. She lived on a farm with her parents and brother in the Polk and Arborville community where she attended the Arborville Church and participated in community activities including 4-H. She attended Dist. 26 country school through the 5th grade and attended Dist. 66 country school through the 8th grade. She graduated from Polk High School in 1955 and was salutatorian of the class.  She then attended Wesleyan College in Lincoln where she attained her teaching certificate which she followed with teaching at Maple Grove country school. Unfortunately, this career was cut short when a fire destroyed the school, and the decision was made by the school district not to rebuild.
Alice met Larry Dean Cramer while they were in high school together and they were married June 3, 1956 at Arborville. The couple moved to Colorado shortly after the wedding. In December of 1957, their only daughter Susan was born, and they lived in Littleton and Englewood, Colorado for several years. As time passed, Larry and Alice felt pulled back to Nebraska and they returned to live again on a farm in Polk County near both of their parents. They remained there until they moved to Stromsburg in 1970.
Alice worked at various careers through the years including bookkeeping for the Co-op Federal Credit Union, and later for Cox and Kopsa CPA in York. She also worked as the secretary for the United Methodist Church in Stromsburg. In later years, she became a caregiver for several in their golden years on an individual 1 on 1 level and worked at the Midwest Covenant Home. Alice loved children and greatly enjoyed working at a local daycare at one point in her life.
Alice lost her husband, Larry on December 3, 1996 to cancer. She remained in Stromsburg for several years until she moved to Lincoln in 2012 to be close to her daughter Susan and her family. Alice's joy was her grandchild Jessica and her great grandchildren Caine and Ciptyn and her cats.
Surviving Alice is her daughter Susan Cramer Olson and her husband, Roger of Lincoln; her granddaughter Jessica Olson Broadfoot and her husband Jared and her great grandsons, Caine Ryan Olson and Ciptyn Dean Nelson, along with many extended relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Alice Janky, her husband Larry Cramer and her brother Robert Janky.
