Linda Kay Clauff
Linda Kay Clauff, age 64, of Polk, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019, at her home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church Swede Home with Pastor Kimberly Belken officiating. Organist will be Diana Johnson, musical selections will be 'You Raise Me Up', 'I Can Only Imagine', 'You'll Be In My Heart' and 'Spirit in the Sky'. Pallbearers will be David Nelson, Steve Tonniges, Kurt Anderson, Monte Jones, Randy Neujahr and LeRay Augustine. Honorary pallbearer Russ Ridgway. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Dubas Funeral Home in Osceola. Internment will be in Swede Home Cemetery.
Linda was born June 26, 1954 to Robert Earl and Patricia Mae (Larson) Grossnicklaus. She attended Osceola Schools graduating in 1972. She was united in marriage to Dolan Ahlquist, to this union two children were born. Linda worked in various places including; Pump and Pantry in Central City, Litzenburg Hospital, Buthesda Care Center, Atlantic Homes, Economy Food Store, Midwest Covenant Home and the Polk County Senior Center for 10 years. She was united in marriage to Carey Lee Clauff at Central City, Nebraska on October 23, 1982. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church and enjoyed playing the piano, horses, arts and crafts, puzzles, taking care of her grandchildren and taking in rescue dogs.
Survivors include her husband Carey of Polk; daughter Tammy (Russ) Ridgway of Gretna, NE; son Michael Ahlquist of Lincoln, NE, daughter Amanda Nelson of Lincoln, NE, grandchildren, Lakin Kohl of Omaha, NE, Colby Nelson of Polk, NE, Brady Nelson of Lincoln, NE and Emmery Nelson of Lincoln, NE. Three sisters, one brother and a host of relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, and one step son Michael Klauff.
