Laurella Louise (Lambert) Cerny
Laurella Louise Cerny, age 76, of Albion, NE, passed away October 27, 2018 at Cloverlodge Care Center in St. Edward, Nebraska.
Graveside services and inurnment will be held Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Osceola Cemetery with Pastor Murry Johnston officiating.
Laurella was born February 3, 1942 in Denver, Colorado to Eugene and Lorene E. (Andersen) Lambert. She started elementary school in Yuma, Colorado and then moved to Fullerton, Nebraska to stay with her grandparents, graduating from Fullerton High School in 1959.
On November 25, 1960 she was united in marriage to Julius L. Cerny at Fullerton, Nebraska. One daughter joined this union, Louise Eleanor Cerny in June of 1968. They lived in Genoa, Duncan and settled in Silver Creek where they farmed. Laurella worked at various factories in Columbus, and also worked at the Midwest Covenant Home in Stromsburg for years. Most of her life she was a housewife and helped Julius on the farm. Julius passed away October 29, 1987. In 1994 Laurella moved to Albion to be closer to her family and help care for her grandchildren. She was very involved in activities at the Harmony homes. She was admitted to Cloverlodge Care Center on October 17, 2018 where she stayed until her passing.
Survivors include Louise (Ricky) Bader of Cedar Rapids; Ashlynn Bader, (Logan and Aspen Bader) Cedar Rapids, NE, Kenny Bader (Special friend Tyere Williams), of Lincoln, NE, Bobbie Bader (Colby Timm and special friend David Smith) of Albioin, NE, and Codie Bader, of Cedar Rapids NE; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren; brother Art (Sharon) Lambert of York; brother-in-law David Cerny of Osceola; sister-in-law Rosella Gabriel, Hickman, NE ; MaryAnn Way, Columbus, NE; Alberta (Gordon) Novacek of Littleton, CO, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Julius; and parents Eugene and Lorene Lambert; one sister Linda Lee Cerny; and one infant brother, and a host of brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws.
