David Roy Coffin, age 67, of Osceola, Nebraska, passed away May 14, 2019 at his residence in Osceola.
Memorial services will be Friday, May 24, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Stromsburg Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Keet Redden officiating. No visitation. Pianist will be Carita Willits. Musical selections will be "Adagio for Strings", "Jesus Paid It All", and "How Deep the Father's Love For Us". Private family burial will take place at the Circle Mound Cemetery in Rising City.
David was born January 23, 1952 to Roy Wilbur and Donna June (Burgess) Coffin in Columbus. He attended elementary school in Crete and Rising City and attended high school in Rising City and Osceola.
On May 30, 1981 he was united in marriage to Glenda Ann Fraver. David worked for Husker Coop as a feed truck driver and then as branch manager. He retired in 2011.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the United Methodist Church in Osceola.
He enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, woodworking, family history, bird watching, cooking and music.
Survivors include son John (Dawn) Coffin of Bellwood, daughter Summer McLauchlan of Columbus, daughter Heather Coffin of Newark, NJ, son Gordie (Tami) Coffin of Lincoln, son Gavin (Cassie) Coffin of Osceola; five grandchildren; two sisters Beth (Gene) Crippen of Homer and Cathy Russell of Mesquite, TX; sister-in-law Lori Coffin of Stromsburg; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Glenda who passed away May 26, 1996; his parents Roy and Donna Coffin; brother Douglas.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
